In a very surprise announcement Bethesda have officially partnered up with Amazon Studios and Kilter Films (Home of Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the creators of Westworld) to bring an official Fallout TV show that will come to Amazon Prime.
The announcement only came with a teaser image and didn’t contain any footage from the show nor did it give any indication as to what the story would be about or roughly when it would be releasing. At the current moment all we really know is that it’s a Fallout story and it’s being made by the same people who did Westworld, also that Todd Howard will be involved in the production process.
Now, this could go one of two ways. It could be absolutely fantastic and help to reinvigorate the franchise or it could be a terrible cash grab and further undermine the series after the many disasters it has had previously. I certainly hope they know what task they are truly up to and that they will do this franchise well, but I have my doubts.
