I’m a huge fan of Bethesda RPG games as they tend to be the ones I put most of my time into. Hell Skyrim alone is probably one of my most played games ever. However when it comes to their up and coming release of Starfield I haven’t felt the same kind of excitement as I have with the other titles they are known for.
Now of course this may simply be because it’s a new IP and as such it’s an unknown quantity at this point but I also think that after Fallout 76 I’ve been a lot more skeptical into their releases. It may seem judgemental at this point but I am being overtly cautious when it comes to Starfield and how it aims to be as an RPG. Todd Howard recently went on record in an interview saying that this game absolutely was not just Skyrim in space and I believe him, but at the moment I need to see more to feel as though it will be worth my time. The game certainly seems vast, but an ocean that is vast but not deep is not an ocean at all, it’s a big puddle.
What do you all think? Are you hyped for Starfield or are you being overtly cautious just like me? Let me know in the comments! That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
