If you know me well enough then you know I have a bit of an obsession with Medieval Knights. I love the sterotypical behaviour, the glorious looking armor and the general ridiculous idea of acting like one in our modern day. Luckily then in Overwatch I love to play Reinhardt and at times I even find myself acting like him. Pretending to be a glorious knight who fights to defend his allies.
Recently I found myself playing a few matches with a group of people who’s only task was to defend and heal their ‘Glorious Reinhardt’ and we all had a great blast. I did my best to play the part and they all had a good time. The idea behind this was to provide something different, and most importantly, provide happiness and smiles to those who we played against and who played with us. I often find myself acting as an entertainer for those I meet online, doing what I can to ensure they have a great game as well as enjoy their time. It’s something a lot of us need to find ourselves doing more as the more of us that look out for each other and do silly things to make people smile then the happier our online gaming community will be. It’s better to be a world full of goofy people than a world full of serious people.
