While AI isn’t quite being used in full game development yet it’s only a matter of time, as such it’s probably a good idea to establish when things are made with AI or when they are made by Humans. At least that’s the thinking behind the EU’s most recent set of rules that they hope to establish.
The idea is to make it explicit that contet is made by AI, as well as allowing the public to freely be able to see the content used to train them as well as barring its use from certain things such as biometric security. All of these factors will be considered once it has been passed into the hands of lawmakers, but who knows how it will go at this rate. All I know is that I expect far more people cropping out watermarks in the future… you know… for art…
