With the new Zelda game coming out this week I am very excited and I’m sure many other people are too. However something that this has uniquely brought my attention to is the fact that I don’t want to start a brand new game before trying out the new Zelda as I’ll just need to drop it when it comes out. This has happened to me before with Persona 4 and Octopath Traveller 2 where I ended up starting P4, then playing OT2, then didn’t really swerve back into playing P4 at all.
As such I’m currently keeping myself occupied with what I’m calling ‘Inbetween’ games, those that don’t start a brand new, big adventure and are simply just fun experiences that can be enjoyed in a short amount of time. I’ve started playing some Total War: Warhammer and trying out new mods for it, I’m of course keeping up the grind in Warframe and I’ve been playing plenty of Yu-Gi-Oh. All these games are meant to simply keep me occupied before the new big game comes out, and that’s a cool thing. It doesn’t mean they are bad or anything, far from it, instead this just simply allows me to dip in and out of them as needed, like say if a big, new game comes out for example, and I think that’s an important thing to have in your life. What’s the alternative? Go outside? Heavens forbid!
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
