When you buy things for a video game many people who aren’t involved in the process may see it as a waste of money and a pointless venture. It can be hard to justify spending just to look better in a game, especially for me as I am incredibly careful with money.
My most recent example of buying virtual dress up items was in Warframe in which I spent money to make my character look a little cooler. I of course was very unsure as to if I should even do it but in the end I gave in and bought a new helmet. Normally after I buy something like this I tend to feel a bit of regret but a fun interaction with another player helped to make it all feel worth it. After finishing a mission with four other random players one of them specifically pointed me out and said that he thought my character looked really cool. Just that one compliment helped me to feel as though my virtual purchase was worth it and I couldn’t be happier that I spent money on Fashion Frame.
Have you had any interactions that helped you feel as though a gaming purchase was worth it? Be sure to let me know! That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
