A while back one of the worst kept secrets in the gaming industry was that cult classic game “Alan Wake” would be getting a remaster for modern systems due to plenty of industry talk and discovered listings. Now finally Remedy has confirmed that indeed this title is getting the remaster treatment which is sure to make fans of the game very excited.
They haven’t announced a release date yet but the game is set to include the usual bells and whistles of higher resolution, updated graphics and better framerate that comes from being released on better systems. It’s also apparently going to be an Epic Store Exclusive for the PC market so make of that what you will.
The game is most likely being revisited now due to the ongoing project of a new game set in this universe and the one that the game Control is set in due to them canonically sharing the same universe with a piece of DLC even directly crossing their paths. I just hope that this ends up being a worthy remaster and not just some cheap port job like some games end up being.
