When you think of the creator of Katamari Damacy, Keita Takahashi, you think of zany concepts and bright colours. Well as it turns out that concept isn’t changing as their new game, ‘To a T’, is an odd concept and yet is so lovingly shown off in the trailer above that I can’t help but adore it.
The concept is fairly simple on the outset. You play as ‘Teen’, a wee lad who is stuck in the shape of the default game model T-Pose. It’s up to you, and his pet dog, to contend with high school life, deal with bullies, and overall just live with his odd condition. It’s obviously a big metaphor for the difficulties of fitting into school as a teenager and even more so it’s a look into the life of one with disabilities, but it also retains that unmistakeable Katamari charm that makes it a delight to watch.
We don’t have a release date as of yet, or even what platforms it will be coming on, but rest assured this will be something to keep an eye out on as it just seems rather lovely and interesting. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
