The Nintendo Switch 2

A familiar design!

Well Nintendo has finally done it, a new console, but this time it’s a sequel! The Nintendo Switch 2 has been revealed and while we don’t have too many details on it currently we have enough to go off to talk about it.

Firstly, of course, it looks very similar to the original and that is by design. It will have backwards compatibility, both physically and digitally, with the original Switch and will once again feature the hybrid handheld-console design that the original Switch perfected. It has a new kickstand, controllers that slot into the sides rather than slide, a bigger screen and controllers, a new button under the home button and seems to feature newly designed joysticks. It will also presumably be much more powerful than the Switch of course, and will have higher resolution when displayed both on the screen itself and when docked. We also got glimpses at a brand new Mario Kart, which presumably will be a launch title, so that’s also exciting!

We can expect a full reveal of the Switch at the dedicated Nintendo Direct for it on 2nd April, so if you want to know more details then be sure to tune in then! That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
