Another massive leak from the gaming industry has just happened again, and this time it’s a particularly bad one. Insomiac Games, better known as the folks who keep making good Spider-Man games for Sony, recently had a massive breach of information that included not just all their projects for the next decade but also a massive amount of employee information and private messages.
The breach is obviously serious and has already seen a lot of the data being sold over the Dark Web to shady individuals. While the games being leaked and shown off is sad and my heart goes out to the poor developers who are having their hard work just casually shown off to the world in an unfinished state the true tragedy here is the employees who are having their details sold to the world. It’s a damn shame, and while a particularly notorious hacker group has claimed ownership of the leak I still hope for a swift end to the hurt being caused by this leak. Who knows how long that will take though.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
