The direct came and went and I am now more excited than I thought I could be for the new entry in the Animal Crossing series. There wasn’t too many new features actually displayed for us but what was shown is seemingly polished to near perfection and I think this could be a real winner.
We were shown the extent to how we are actually able to edit our deserted island which turned out to be massively more than we originally anticipated. Not only can we build and place entire buildings but we are even able to directly edit the terrain itself including making slopes. Not only that but we were also shown that due to the airport that is present on the island you will be able to visit not only other people’s online islands but also random destinations which will have different plants and animals for you to collect too. It all sounds a bit silly to be excited about all this as it’s not exactly anything revolutionary but as I said earlier I wanted a game that was of a high standard rather than just have a bunch of new content so seeing how nice the game looks (especially inside the museum holy crap!) makes me hopeful for the game.
