It’s crazy to think that the Xbox 360 is now considered a ‘retro’ console but lo and behold as of today the 360 online marketplace has shut down, meaning that everything on it, and the console in general has become ‘lost’ media. This means not only has production of the physical console shut down, and Xbox Live been shut down, but now everything connecting the system to the internet is gone too. So now you only have the console and the discs you play it on.
However, that’s not so bad in my opinion. At least the games you have physically are still playable and the console works as it should, as a game playing machine. So yes, the good old days are over and my personal childhood memories of classic Halo 3 antics are gone forever, but we at least have our console still up and running, and that’s a beautiful thing in its own way. Goodbye Xbox 360, you did good.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
