We finally got a full look at the official Sonic the Hedgehog movie via a brand new trailer dropping earlier yesterday to the internet’s horror.
Not only does Sonic look… like that, but other factors going into the film seem to indicate this is going to be a disaster. It’s being played in a serious manner by putting Sonic into the modern world which is a very strange choice and just makes him seem even more out of place than how he already looks. They also revealed that Eggman is being played by Jim Carrey who proceeded to show typical Jim Carrey acting of screaming and seeming like a local escaped lunatic but didn’t really look or act like how Eggman should.
From what it seems this movie is trying to follow in footsteps of Detective Pikachu by taking a video game charcater and making them into a realistic format which in this case has just ended in nightmare fuel, and it’s not even funny nightmare fuel. I am very curious to see how well this movie does and I am probably going to be visited by this monstrosity in my dreams tonight, god help me.
