Team Fortress 2 has always been a fairly easy game to run, owing both to its simplistic graphical style and the fact that it was released a long time ago. Now however, it seems it may be even easier for it to run well for you as a new patch to the game finally brought the application up from a 32-bit one to a 64-bit one. To make a long, complicated explanation short this will let the game use more memory by default and thus allow it to run smoother.
Alongside this the game now has a bunch of other performance enhancements that will bring it up to modern standards and allow users to have a smoother gameplay experience which is always nice. It’s not quite a content update, but making the game more playable for many will certainly help player counts. Maybe even this is a sign of things to come… who knows at this point.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
