A while back I talked about one of the most fun and interesting things I had heard in a long time, that someone was taking the Playstation 1 Demake of Blooborne and making a spin-off Kart Racer from it. Those words all being strung together are odd to say the least, and the even crazier thing is the fact that it was actually being made and was a fully fledged game. I adore fan-game ideas such as this but unfortunately Sony didn’t think so.
The creators of the game (as can be noted by the video update linked above) were unfortunately contacted by Sony and told that they couldn’t use the Bloodborne branding for this kart game which is certainly a huge blow to the game. However, shockingly, everything else is completely fine and so as such the game will indeed still be coming out, even if it looks a bit different. The developers will just be sanding off any of the Bloodborne branding and will instead be making this a fully fledged personal game. In many ways this is a big thing as it allows the developers to have a bit more creative freedom with the characters and locations, even if they can no longer be related to Bloodborne. Maybe this will be the start of a new custom series… who knows! Regardless, the game will still be coming out, just delayed a wee bit while they make the needed legal changes.
