Recently, people have been checking the SteamDB page of Fallout 4 and noticed something very interesting, a new branch in the backend of the files known as “newvegas2” which was very quickly taken down once people noticed it.
Now while this of course doesn’t confirm anything the fact that this comes shortly after staff at Obsidian stated they would love to work on a sequel to New Vegas, and that both Obsidian and Bethesda now work under the same parent company, there is of course plenty of hype from people surrounding this discovery. Now what some people are pointing out is that this is actually most likely just related to the new ‘next-gen’ update for Fallout 4 which will work like the Anniversary Edition of Skyrim including several pieces of new Creation Club content, some of which most likely will include stuff from New Vegas such as weapons or armor. As such this probably isn’t something to get too excited about, but that name in particular has raised some eyebrows… Guess we will see if anything comes from this!
