Valve are certainly a mysterious company. Not only do they keep most of their projects on the down low but when they do announce things it is often in a cryptic or misunderstood way. That’s why when some clever internet sleuths spotted that the US patent office recently filed for a new trademark from Valve under the “Computer game software, electronic game software, video game software, computer game programs downloadable via the internet” section people immediately got excited.
The trademark in question is called ‘Neon Prime’ and at the current moment we have absolutely no idea as to what it could be. It could be a codename for a brand new game, it could be a new piece of software, it could be an anti-cheat or hell it could just be a new series by Valve. At this moment nobody can really tell but suffice it to say that people have already started speculating. It should be noted that trademarks don’t really mean anything new is coming as they are filed all the time with nothing being done with them but it’s still interesting to see what this could develop into. Stay tuned to find out I suppose!
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
