Dragon’s Dogma 2 recently came out and while the game is apparently good it currently sits at a ‘Mostly Negative’ review score on Steam leading many to wonder why a game that many people are considering great has such a low review rating. However, it’s fairly simple. It’s only one word that has been the bane of many a good gane, Microtransactions.
The game is egregious with an incredible amount of microtransactions for things in the game that are very easily obtained, meaning not only are they excessive in a fully priced game, they aren’t even needed! They’re clearly only there for lazy or impatient players which is a damn shame as if this greed wasn’t present the game would have a much better reception than it does now. As such, I guess time will tell if these are toned down in the future to help make the game have a better perception for players. Something tells me it won’t though…
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
