A new game just popped up on my radar that sounds incredibly interesting and may very well be a game I purchase and give a shot. Created by the original creator of Diablo, David Brevik, as a solo project “It Lurks Below” is seemingly a terraria-style open world RPG that encompasses both wordbuilding, mining and dungeon crawling.
From the trailer it certainly does seem to take inspiration from various games, however it seems a bit more technical. More focused on the numbers and combat rather than building, which sounds like a welcome change in my book. While the game doesn’t have a release date yet it’s said to be coming out later this year on Steam so we have that to look forward to.
Before people make judgements on the game based on how it looks keep in mind that Minecraft started off as a solo project too, and look where that ended up. I have high hopes, especially due to the talent involved in the cration of this game. Let’s just hope that the game lives up to the legacy behind it. That’s all for now, and as always.
