I Need TWO Weapons

Talk about Dual Wielding!

It’s been a long time since Halo Infinite was released without many important features such as Forge and, for the topic of today’s post, Co-op. The first instance of being able to play the campaign with your friends will begin with a Beta that is scheduled to begin on July 11th through to 22nd if you are part of the Halo Inside programme which is their own internal flight group for beta testing of new features.

Those that are signed up can expect to download a new client that will allow them to play a fresh campaign in co-op which will unfortunately not carry saves over from the original game. Alongside this how the game will actually work with other players is that while you can explore around the same area you are stuck to within a 1000 feet radius with the host of the game, meaning if you go outside that radius to explore you will be killed. I get they are doing this for technical reasons but it’s still a shame that those playing co-op will feel shackled to whoever is hosting when the game actively encourages exploration.

Many still feel this comes a bit too late to save the longevity of the game, and I can agree with this. The Halo Infinite hype train has already been and gone so these new features will simply be a neat addition that won’t bring people back to the title. Such a shame as these features should have been present at launch but alas deadlines and higher executives told them the game had to be out the door as soon as possible. Poor Halo Infinite, now please don’t ruin the MCC.

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
