Bungie have announced that they are sunsetting all future live-service content from Destiny 2, effectively making the last content patch the final one and leaving the game abandoned by the devs. It isn’t fully abandoned as the servers will continue to function, but that’s it for now. It’s shocking to its players and many others as Destiny 2 is by no means a game that was close to dying off as player counts were still pretty high. Many suspect that Bungie’s recently released ‘Marathon’ split the company’s attention and resources leading to this decision which is a damn shame as many still arne’t sure about the future of Marathon either. Still, decision has been made, and now many Destiny 2 players have wisely chosen to also quit here. Maybe it’s time for them to give Warframe a try.
