EA Morale Drain

This monolithic corporate building really says it all doesn’t it?

Speaking anonymously with PC Gamer several EA Employees have stated that ever since the latest round of corporate changes and forced AI integration morale has been rock bottom at the company with many saying that they essentially run entirely off the sport game franchises they run and not much else.

Being asked about this executives are essentially demanding more from their programmers while using less resources, typical middle management issues, with the execs in question taking more and more bonuses and extra payments as they can see the sinking ship in the near horizon.

With the death of Bioware and many other jobs being cut at the company I do truly wonder how long EA has in this industry, especially with its blatant anti-art stance by the forceful utilisation of AI systems and lack of creative risks. Could we be in a lifetime where EA go bust? We can only wait, and in some ways, hope. The death of the biggest gaming publisher conglomerate might start to indicate a return to artistic roots… at least I’d hope it would. Either way, I feel so sorry for the employees on the ground and I truly hope that things either end up better for them, or they find a better place to work.

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
