Overwatch has been known as a toxic game filled with a hyper-competitive community that tend to take the game far too seriously and break the morale of other players simply because they don’t get their way. Dealing with these problems is a tricky venture as it may lead to mass censorship however thanks to a new update Blizzard may very well have a solution.
The new feature is an ‘Avoid As Teammate’ function which can block up to two seperate people from playing with you on your team ever again. This gets away from the biggest problem where people flagged good players which led to them not being able to find games as all simply because players got angry they were being beaten by a really good player. This new feature stops the long wait times from happening and also focus on stopping toxic behaviour in teams from being repeated. The fact you can only block two however is a bit worrying but I guess we shall see how this pans out in the long run to see if it will fix Overwatch’s community.
