I reported a while back on a big meeting Bioware was having with EA about what the future of Anthem will be and now we finally have an answer, there won’t be one. EA has decided to move many of the Anthem team onto other projects such as Dragon Age and Mass Effect and due to this the big planned re-do of all the systems in Anthem as effectively been cancelled and the game will stay the same as it always has, what a shame.
It’s important to note that the game will still be playable and that the servers are still currently up and will continue to be for the forseeable future but the game itself will stay exactly the same and so this will be the last straw for many who were excited to see if this would actually fix the title. Still, it’s EA, is anyone surprised this was the result? I’m curious to know what those who are still playing Anthem think about this so if you are leave a comment below and tell us how big of a blow this is for the community.
