To say that the Epic Games Store had a rocky launch is putting it lightly as it was marred with missing features and controversy that led it’s claim to be the true biggest competition against steam on the PC gaming market as a joke to many within the gaming community. Now however many features have been added that brings the gap closer and alongside all the offers of free games to users it’s slowly becoming a viable option to those who wish for an alternative.
Recently Epic announced that the store was finally receiving an automated refund policy which will surely make the process of not being ripped off finally worth doing rather than just waiting for customer support to get back to you. They also noted that they have partnered with several key-generation websites to have one-click purchase options rather than having to input keys from these sites which is a nice quality of life change. There’s of course many other plans to upgrade the store and who knows maybe it will eventually be the true competitor that Steam needs right now, I suppose we will just have to wait and see.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
