Activision/Blizzard Returns to China

Let’s see how long this one lasts…

Activision/Blizzard recently lost the rights to sell and operate their products in China due to licensing and business issues between the company that they used to utilise as their Chinese partner, meaning loads of Chinese users lost access to some of their favourite games because some corporate big-wigs were bad at making business decisions.

Well now it seems things have turned around as Activision/Blizzard and NetEase have united to once again bring games to China again, picking things up where they were left off. I’m sure this will bring smiles back to many who lost access to some of their favourite games, but this truly highlights the power that some companies still have over their games even if we purchase them. It feels more and more like we rent games from companies rather than buy them. Ach well, let’s just see how long this partnership lasts…

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
