A Remastered Japanese Horror Classic

Spooky Numbers! WoOoOoO!

When discussing Japanese horror you think of things like Resident Evil or Silent Hill but one of the cornerstones of the genre that is not talked much about these days is Clock Tower. Now I myself am more familiar with the more modern entries in this series however as it turns out it was actually originally released all the way back in 1995 on the Super Famicom and was one of the first ever horror point and click adventure games. It was also incredibly influential in the Japanese horror scene, and it appears as though ‘Limited Run Games’ agree with how influential it is, so much so that they are planning to release a remastered version of the game in 2024.

The game itself will still have that old style but looking a bit more like a strange combination of FMV and pixel art which is a very unique style that looks rather appealing. They will be working together with developer ‘WayForward’ to release this and aim to make it as close to the original as possible. To me it looks like a very intesting title, though I certainly hope they at least give it some updated gameplay along with the visuals. Regardless horror fans will have a treat with this releasing, let’s just hope it lives up to their expectations!

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
