An interesting development has come up as part of Frictional Games Annual Financial Report which seems to indicate that some new form of their initial classic game Amnesia: The Dark Descent is coming out at some point in the next financial year. Exactly what form this will take is unknown, it could very well just be a port to a new system, however the fact it is specifically mentioned has many people wondering if this is perhaps a full remake of the original game.
It’s been many years since The Dark Descent came out so a remake wouldn’t be the worst idea, especially as this game utilises darkness and light as an inherent part of its gameplay, meaning this could be an excellent opportunity to show the advancements in their tech over the years. At this stage, it’s all speculation, but it’s nice to speculate isn’t it?
