When you ask about if a game is worth a purchase you have to take two things into consideration; is the game long enough and does it provide an interesting enough gaming experience that you were happy to play it. Sometimes however there can be games that are very short however due to the quality of the experience you were happy to pay money for it.
The best example of this I can think of is Undertale. It’s a relatively short game (unless you go for all the endings of course) and due to that many would consider it not worth buying. However the memories I made from it and just the quality of the writing in general made me love it so much that I would have payed much more than I did to play this game. Some might consider that silly but for me if a game sticks in my mind for long enough then it doesn’t need to be long. Of course I also love Skyrim which I seemingly play every other day so I can enjoy both kinds of games.
