To keep me busy in-between the drought period that is the February to March game release schedule I’ve been checking out a project that I have known about for a long time but never actually sat down to play, Enderal.
Now those of you who are involved in the modding scene of Bethesda games (and especially Skyrim) should already know what Enderal is but if you happen to be out of the loop Enderal is a completely new game that uses Skyrim’s engine and basic framework to create a new world, quests, story, characters and even gameplay systems that are entirely seperate from the Elder Scrolls universe. Having tried it now myself by playing the standalone version available (FOR FREE!!) on Steam by just owning a copy of Skyrim I must say I am absolutely blown away. The game looks absolutely gorgeous, the new gameplay systems are unique and interesting, the story and world is one of the most complex and fleshed out in the fantasy setting that I have encountered in a long time and overall I’m having a complete blast and kicking myself for not trying this out at an earlier time. I’m toying with the idea of a full review but with so many games coming out soon I might hold off on it for now. What I will say however is that if you do happen to own a copy of Skyrim on Steam you absolutely should try out Enderal, it’s free so you have no excuse!
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
