I have a particular fondness for RPG games, specifically those of the turn based/old-style variety which focus on adventuring with a group of wildly different individuals with unique abilities and skills, specifically different RPG Classes.
You of course have your fantasy staples such as Knights or Archers but I find games that have unique settings and thus have weird character classes that you wouldn’t normally expect to be more enjoyable. For example in the recently played Lisa: The Painful RPG one of the characters you can get is a ‘Drunkard’ class which focuses on buffing your team by sharing drinks and drunkenly stumbling onto enemies. The very idea is genius and I love it when game developers make strange class ideas like this have unique movesets and skills that set them apart from the usual tropes.
Now I pose a question to you all, of all the classical RPG games you have played which classes/character skillsets have been the most interesting to you? Let us all know by sharing your examples in the comments section! That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
