Revisiting a Meta

yeah, stuff like this is possible…

From my return to Oblivion in the remaster I realised after looking up some tutorials online that I only really scratched the surface of the broken systems that spellcrafting allowed, making for some of the most powerful builds in the game that focus on stacking weakness spells and reflecting/absorbing attributes. It made me think about the idea of going back to a game I’ve played in my time before, and breaking it in half by finding out about meta/exploit tactics and truly discovering the possibilites of how strong you can be.

Now I haven’t done this many times, after all most of the time I go back to games it’s to experience them as I remember, or just to visit a childhood classic, but some games can be really fun when you look at them with a more seasoned and matured mind and truly see the systems at play and how best to utilise them. I do this a lot with old Pokemon games, finding and using the most broken tactics possible to make my playthrough a breeze.

However, I want to know if this is something you all do too. Do you enjoy visiting older games to truly break them, and if so which is your favourite example? Let us know in the comments. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
