Halo 3 is my favourite game of all time, and Marty O’Donnell both composed and co-directed this fantastic game that I love so much. When he was fired from Bungie it felt like a true shame to me as I knew just how talented the man could be, and apparently that was the catalyst to send him off the deep end for… Politics?
Yes Marty O’Donnell decided to both join the Republican party and run as a candidate in the recent mid-term elections in America as a full Trump supporter and hater of migrants and trans people… We truly do live in a bizarre world don’t we? Well as might be expected he lost to the democratic candidate Susie Lee, who proceeded to provide a sick burn to her opponent by showcasing that legendary bathroom Halo chanting video with a faded in tweet noting how Marty never wanted to be a Politician anyway, good one Susie, good one.
I guess never meet your heroes. Just one more messed up thing in this strange world. Sometimes the people who helped make your favourite piece of media spiral into the Trump supporter rabbit hole… That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
