As has been teased by Valve for several weeks at this point we finally have confirmation that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be officially ported to the Source 2 engine in the summer of this year under the new title of ‘Counter-Strike 2’.
This new version of the game will retain all the progress and items of the previous title but will feature a whole host of graphical, latency and design improvements that is sure to make Counter-Strike players very happy. Best of all, this upgrade is entirely free so as long as your PC can handle it you will be getting essentially a fully remastered and improved version of the game when it releases, nice of Valve to do so! This reminds me a lot of the Overwatch 2 situation however at least this time there will be no paid part of the upgrade and it will continue to be just a nice change from the original title. TF2 players in shambles…
