Battle Princess Madelyn is an interesting sounding game that really grabbed my attention from when I first saw gameplay of it. It proclaims itself as a reimagining of the classic Ghost ‘n Goblins gameplay with a unique story, incredible bosses and of course a wonderful art style.
So for many same old classic remake style game correct? Well the biggest thing about this game that makes it so interesting is the developer of the game, Christopher Obritsch, is actually taking most of the direction from his ‘boss’ also known as his 7 year old daughter Maddie! In many ways this is her game, designed and made so that she could become a great hero who travelled the lands and defeated monsters. I love this concept, the imagination of a child is so vast that the ideas this game could come out with may very well provide a unique look into the retro-style genre.
