Well Microsoft have finally done it, they have issued a legal takedown of the popular Halo PC game known as Eldewrito and are currently in the process of removing all content to do with the game from downloading sites. This comes as a huge blow as the game just last week released a big update that fixed a lot of bugs and made the game feel a lot more polished.
However from all of this sadness comes an interesting revelation. Speaking about the issue, 343 Studios (the current developers of the Halo series) were talking about possibly working with the Eldewrito team which to them may make the idea of losing all their hard work to legal problems sting a lot less. They also mentioned about how they have seen from the fan outcry at this decision and the popularity of the game that a classic Halo experience for PC is very much what the community wants which is certainly an exciting thing to mention. Does this mean we might be getting a new Halo game for PC? Possibly the Master Chief Collection? Let’s hope this is the case as an officially supported Halo 3 for the PC would be a dream come true for me.
