After many weeks on the test servers Wrecking Ball (also known as Hammond) has finally been released fully onto Overwatch. The new mobile tank has been making waves with his ridiculous concept and fun gameplay and so I welcome him into the main game and hope he turns out to be a good pick in the competitive meta.
Alongside the new hero there was also a huge bunch of other changes released. Sombra now has infinite stealth and use of her translocator at the cost of being slower and not being able to contest the objective. Several characters have had their maximum damage falloff increased meaning they do more damage at range and Mei has had all her damage falloff removed. These changes while they may seem trivial to some are sure to make a big impact in the competitive scene and I look forward to seeing how this will affect the meta as it currently stands. Roll on Summer Games event!
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
