Voxel Duke

Hail to the Pixel King baby

We all know Duke, even if he has become a bit of a laughing stock these days, but it’s fair to say that Duke Nukem 3D is still one of the most beloved retro shooters of all time, even if its material has become more questionable as time has gone on. One thing that’s always stuck out like a sore thumb though, the 3D part of that name. Well no more! As dedicated modder Dan Peterson (also known as Cheello) has made efforts to convert the majority of Duke Nukem 3D into voxels for a brand new experience.

As can be seen from the above trailer the game looks more rounded, has more depth and overall gives the traditionally flat looking original game a fresh new coat of paint. The conversion doesn’t have a release date quite yet, but it’s a cool project and Dan has had successes before doing the same thing with DOOM and Blood, so high hopes for this project!

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
