It pains me to say that I need to explain what The Sims is on the off chance that people don’t happen to know… kids these days… regardless, this is the original life-sim game and the series has been celebrating its 25th anniversary recently, culminating in the re-release of the original first 2 games in the series into one item, The Sims Legacy Collection.
It’s available now on Steam and most other PC storefronts, however I’d maybe hold off on buying it if you’re wanting a nostalgic flashback as not only is the collection ludicrously high priced, but aside from modifying it so that it can generally run better on modern PC’s and Monitors nothing else has been added. So it’s the original games sure, but that’s it, and you can buy those anywhere! Personally, I’d give this one a miss unless a sale comes around, what a shame as I love the original Sims. Maybe one day I’ll give it a revisit… just not today.
