For those that don’t know, the original framework of The Elder Scrolls games, mainly being the first 2 games, was chiefly created by a single chief engineer, Julian LeFay, who helped create the world, the games and everything inbetween. He wasn’t the sole creator, there’s plenty of people that worked on the games, but he was a significant force behind what made these games so special, and sadly he recently passed away.
He was working on a new game with his new company, the very much Elder Scrolls inspired ‘Wayward Realms’, so it is sad to see he won’t finish his full work, but his influence will certainly be felt. While the more modern ES games wasn’t part of his workload, it’s certain to say we wouldn’t actually have this game franchise without him, so hopefully he rests well knowing that he helped create a beloved fantasy franchise that millions play and appreciate.
