I don’t tend to play horror games that often, and that actually is also the case this time as I just recently watched a full playthrough of a new horror game, ‘No, I’m Not a Human’ and while I’m sad that I didn’t get to experience this firsthand I certainly am glad I found out about it as it was one of the most effective horror game I’ve experienced in years.
Premise is fairly simple, Sun has gone haywire leaving people stuck inside during the day and a bunch of creatures that can imitate humans called ‘Strangers’ have started appearing. You, each night, have to let people into your home in order to save them from the oncoming sun, but you need to determine if they are Human or a Stranger that will kill your other houseguests if you let them stay. It’s an excellent example of using paranoia and anxiety to really make you question your own decisions and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I don’t want to spoil more as I really encourage you all to check it out yourself. Here, this is a link to its Steam page, trust me, it’s worth it.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
