With another year wrapping up we have yet another big series of announcements for Warframe, specifically the biggest being we’re finally going to the Tau system, something teased for many years! Regardless, there was a few announcments made during t his year’s Tennocon, so let’s quickly summarise.
Firstly, there will be an as of yet untitled update for Autumn which will feature an Oberon rework, new Lavos cosmetics and some new early-game quests to help improve the new player experience and tutorialise one of the most important systems in the game, modding your weapons and Warframes.
Second, there will be an introduction to a new Warframe as well as new proto-frame characters for Harrow and Wisp, seems as though it will be religion-focused, and the update will be known as ‘The Devil’s Triad’. The new Warframe will actually be demon themed, and their name will be Uriel, quite on the nose.
Next, for the end of the year, will be a big, new update that will expand the narrative of the game greatly known as ‘The Old Peace’ which shall see your character travelling back in time to visit old memories of the far off space system of Tau, home of the robotic sentients. This will also come with a new faction, new gear and an update to the focus-system which will see your operator characters get new moves and even ultimate abilities, very cool stuff!
Finally, next year, will be the full return to Tau, seeing how it has changed since the distant past and how your actions affected it when you played through the story of The Old Peace. It’s all very exciting, and really shows that the lore of Warframe still has plenty of stories to tell. Hopefully you all join us for the ride!
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
