Blizzard it seems are making moves for their next project, and this time it might end up being a long awaiting new entry in the Starcraft universe. A job advert recently came up for the studio looking for a lead designer for a ‘AAA Open World Shooter’ which also interestingly will apparently be running on the Unreal Engine in stark contrast to other Blizzard games that tend to use in-house engines.
Now we don’t know for sure exactly what this project is, but considering the nature of how Blizzard titles tend to be there’s a good chance that this will end up being a Starcraft game, after all they tried to make a Starcraft shooter in the past before it was cancelled. We of course have no other details on this at present, but it’s still interesting to note that a project like this may be at work within the studio currently, Let’s just hope it is something that will actually see the light of day this time.
