For all the lucky people about to embark on the Elden Ring: Nightreign Network Test (damn you lucky souls!) they are about to experience the game first hand, though in advance of that a lot more details have been revealed regarding the nature of the game thanks to a press event and we even have a release date, 30th May.
From what we know now, the game is a lot more simplified from Elden Ring with stats and RPG elements being toned down to make way for a more speedy and arcade-like environment, including much more movement options and an easier to understand equipment system. It all seems to be an interesting decision to make what is essentially an Action-Roguelike out of the Elden Ring world and gameplay, and I am unsure if it will exactly be for me. Regardless, I’ll certainly be playing it on release, so let’s see just how good it ends up being!
