Plastic Ducks… and Card Games?

Talk about a change of pace!

Do you happen to remember Placid Plastic Duck Simulator from a few years back? It was a viral game that was meant more as a chilling-out background noise tool more than anything, yet it became one of the biggest viral sensations of the year. How ironic. Well it seems as though the team behind this are making an actual, fully fleshed out game now, and strangely, it’s a pokemon-esque pixel-based card game battler?

Placid Plastic Deck: A Quiet Quest (amazing name by the way) is the strange sequel and is exactly as I described it. You play as Zoi, who must save their friendship by taking part in a card game tournament, with plenty of ducks present of course. It’s a strange turn of events, and even stranger is the fact it takes inspiration from Inscryption of all things, but it looks lovely and the trailer above left me pretty hype to actually give it a look. No release date yet but hopefully this ends up being more than just a fad, maybe it will even contain a Yugioh reference… who knows!

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
