The last of the Nintendo games to talk about, though not the last Switch 2 game… that will have to be discussed next week! Anyway, we’re getting a new 3D Platformer and it isn’t Mario this time, it’s Donkey Kong! Donkey Kong Bananza (what an incredible name) is set to come out 17th July exclusively to the Switch 2 and will be the first 3D outing for the big ape since Donkey Kong 64, god that’s such a long time!
The game features a new redesign for Mr Kong (which I actually adore, makes him so much more expressive) and will primarily be focused around the fact that the whole environment is destructible, letting you quite literally tunnel into the earth to get treasure, collect resources and of course beat up enemies. we don’t have too much additional information to go off right now but suffice it to say many people are hyped, me included! Unsure if I will actually get to play it, as I’m unsure if I will be getting a Switch 2 at all, but if I do, this will definitely be on the to-play list! No I wonder if the DK Crew will make an appearance…
