This is a game I never expected to get a sequel. Minecraft Dungeons was an ARPG take on the Minecraft world that was released to middling reviews, failing to truly capture the spark that made regular Minecraft so special. It seems it must have done well enough however to be considered a success to the publishers as now they’ve revealed a trailer for the sequel, Minecraft Dungeons 2. No gameplay shown and no release date aside from it being at some point this year but still this seems a bit strange. I’d hope they’d change up the formula showehow or introduce something truly unique to make this an interesting sequel, but I know I can’t set my expectations that high. Guess we will just have to wait and see for now.
