In a sad state of affairs once more we have yet another technically online game that is being taken down from digital storefronts due to not meeting financial expectations, what a shocker.
Multiversus, the Warner Bros Smash Bros, is going to be de-listed and taken offline by May 30th however, unlike many other titles like this, it will still be playable offline, so that’s a consolation I suppose. Still it’s a dick move, especially considering the amount of money that people have invested into the online aspects of this game, so seeing another title be taken down so quickly into its lifespan leaving players high and dry to deal with their own financial decisions is inconsiderate to say the least. Of course, the reason why it is being taken down is financial reasons, seems like publishers still don’t realise that games are expensive, who would have thought. Still, at least it was a good game I suppose, guess we will see how long it takes for people to get nostalgic for this title… god I feel old.
