Last year I reported on the fact that the game [PROTOTYPE], a beloved game of mine from the Xbox 360 days, randomly got an update that added new credits and modified a couple things that ended up breaking mods for the game. Well as it turns out this wasn’t just a random fluke as recently the game has had yet another update that actually fixes the mod support and adds even more credits to the game. Alongside this members of the original development team, Radical Entertainment, have seemingly formed a new studio alongside members of Hothead Games known as ‘New Radical Games’. Does this mean that a [PROTOTYPE] remaster is coming? I certainly hope so. No official confirmation has been given yet, but you can bet that getting to play this game again in the modern day would be a fantastic opportunity. I suppose we will just have to wait and see what this new studio decides to do with the IP.
