This is certainly a big surprise. Blizzard have revealed that Diablo 2, as in that game from 25 years ago, is getting a new expansion in the form of a new class, The Warlock, a demon summoner as part of the remastered ‘Resurrected’ version coming to both Steam and the Xbox Game Pass, what an interesting turn of events, and it’s out now!
Even more interesting is that this new class will also be coming to Diablo 4, in a weird sort of cross-over thing that means this new class will be getting new lore, gameplay and a hell of a lot more interesting mechanics. Having a demon summoner fight demons is certainly a choice, but I love the idea, and regardless seeing Diablo 2 of all games get new content was certainly not on my bingo card. I’m just happy to see it, hopefully the class is actually good!
